On the afternoon of June 14, at Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company (Sa Dec Industrial Park, Sa Dec City), "The Club of Pregnant Women and Young Children" organized a thematic activity for over 50 female union members, workers, and laborers working at the company to attend. Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones - said that through monitoring at enterprises, the pregnancy and raising of young children of female workers on leave accounts for a higher proportion than other periods.
Normally, during this period, female workers face many difficulties in health, time allocation, and work arrangement to balance work and raising children. In particular, this is also the period when women are susceptible to psychological diseases, such as: postpartum depression, mental disorders, physiological diseases. Especially the body is easily weakened, the spirit is easily vulnerable...
Faced with that reality, the company's Trade Union has proposed and the Trade Union of industrial parks and economic zones has developed a plan to coordinate with Phuong Chau Sa Dec Hospital to organize a thematic activity.
At the meeting, doctors and nurses explained policies related to women, especially female workers in the company, on gender equality and combating sexual harassment at the workplace; disseminated and disseminated knowledge about reproductive health, from pregnancy to childbirth and small child care... At the same time, spend more time for the women to discuss specific cases and participate in gift-giving games when answering the doctor's questions correctly. There are a total of 15 gifts, each worth 150,000 VND, mobilized by the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones from socialized sources.
Through a meeting, club members acquired a lot of practical and important knowledge, both sharing experiences and especially having a fun space... All created an exciting atmosphere for female workers pregnant and raising young children to have more positive energy and scientific knowledge in pregnancy care and child care.
