The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) has just issued a plan to organize training on negotiation skills and salary clause development in collective labor agreements for trade union officials in 2026.
The participants in the training include 800 trade union officials (divided into two phases) who are chairmen of ward and commune trade unions, officials in charge of policies and laws - labor relations of local management groups, chairmen of grassroots trade unions with 1,000 or more workers, and officials of the Legal Consulting Center of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
Trade union officials will be trained on the factors constituting the salary policy at enterprises (salary level, allowances, supplements, bonuses, KPI...), common forms of salary payment, common bottlenecks when negotiating salaries, and salary terms to be included in collective labor agreements.
At the same time, skills to collect information about market wage levels, minimum living standards, labor productivity, profit/order, labor fluctuation rate, skills to analyze force correlation, labor relations context at enterprises to choose appropriate negotiation strategies, develop negotiation plans, acceptance thresholds, alternative plans...
The training program is designed according to the motto of taking practice as the center, taking salary negotiation as the focus, and taking the ability to apply at the grassroots level as a measure of effectiveness.
The program aims to equip, consolidate and improve negotiation skills for trade union officials in the Ho Chi Minh City trade union system, focusing on the content of salaries in collective labor agreements in a direction that is more beneficial to workers.
At the same time, support trade union officials to master the negotiation process, know how to prepare data, develop plans, build arguments, and handle situations when negotiating with employers.
