On the morning of October 16, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a working conference of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; evaluated the results of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in the third quarter and the first 9 months of 2025; the results of managing and using union member management software from 2016 to present in the Northern region.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Mr. Tong Van Bang - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Labor Relations Department chaired the conference.
Delegates representing 20 provincial labor federations, 16 central and equivalent industry unions attended the conference.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that regarding the organization of Congresses at all levels, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has deployed documents guiding and orienting the Congress work to units. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung suggested that delegates prepare their opinions, state the reality, difficulties and problems in organizing the Congress, especially the Congress of grassroots trade unions, especially the Congress of trade unions of communes and wards - this is a new model after reorganizing the organizing model.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is eager to listen to the voice from the grassroots, discuss specific contents together to consider reporting to the Standing Committee of the Presidium, issues within its authority will soon have timely implementation solutions, said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung.
Regarding the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, grassroots unions, and managing union members, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung emphasized: Our current mission and responsibility is to be determined to consolidate and build a strong union organization; especially need to be proactive and resolute in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will focus strongly and highly on this work, affirmed Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung hopes that the delegates will reflect the current situation and propose solutions to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor so that all places can learn together, as well as summarize and evaluate to successfully complete the goal of successfully organizing the Congress.
