Attending the program were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Ninh province; Mr. Tran Le Duy - Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, along with representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, branches, localities, units, businesses and a large number of union members and workers.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Mr. Tran Le Duy said: "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" is an annual activity with practical significance, showing the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances. Thereby, contributing to ensuring that all workers have conditions to celebrate Spring and welcome Tet warmly and safely.
The "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program in Tay Ninh is implemented at 4 locations, taking place from January 29 to February 10, 2026, with many rich activities such as: giving Tet gifts, organizing welfare booths selling discounted goods, 0 VND booths, legal advice, free medical examination - medicine distribution, cultural and artistic activities, folk games serving union members and workers.
At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented symbolic signs to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year. In which, from the provincial budget, 1,800 gifts with a total value of 900 million VND were given to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances.
The Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation also presented a symbolic sign of 50,000 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, along with 1,900 bus tickets for union members and relatives participating in the "Trade Union Bus - Spring 2026" program.
In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supported 300 gifts, each gift including cash and necessities worth 1.3 million VND. Among them, 100 gifts were presented directly to union members and workers right at the opening program.
The program also attracted the participation of more than 1,000 union members and workers, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere in the days leading up to Tet. Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates visited welfare booths, encouraged spirit and shared joy with union members and workers.
Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" continues to affirm the bridge role of the Trade Union organization between union members and workers with Party committees, authorities, businesses and the whole society in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers in Tay Ninh province.
