On January 23, the People's Police Trade Union (CAND) organized a Conference to summarize the Trade Union work in 2025 and deploy the 2026 work program.
Attending the conference were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, Ministry of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Cong Thanh Thao - Head of the People's Police Trade Union and representatives of leaders of functional units under the Ministry of Public Security.
According to the report of the People's Police Trade Union, in 2025, the People's Police Trade Union focused on concretizing the work program with the action motto: "People's Police Trade Union unity, innovation, for the benefit of union members, building a truly strong Trade Union in the People's Police", focusing on activities to develop union members, improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities; care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members...
Regarding the work of caring for union members, the People's Police Trade Union regularly pays attention to and supports union members in difficult circumstances; union members affected by natural disasters and storms; union members suffering from dangerous diseases.
Organizing the program "Tet reunion - Spring sharing", more than 24,000 trade union members were visited and presented Tet gifts with a total amount of more than 12 billion VND...; the social security program "Warm border spring - Tet of affection in 2025" provided free medical examinations and medicines to nearly 1,000 people, worth nearly 200 million VND; maintained the program "Trade Union adopted children", receiving care and support for 417 children with a total amount of nearly 1.1 billion VND.
Regarding the organization of emulation movements among trade union members, the People's Police Trade Union has commended nearly 50 "good workers" on the occasion of Workers' Month 2025; effectively launched and deployed emulation activities such as "Good workers, creative workers associated with the implementation of the emulation movement For national security", with the focus on widely deploying the emulation movement "Three most: Most disciplined - Most loyal - Closest to the people".
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Le Van Quyet - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Company 19.5 emphasized the performance of the function of the trade union organization in representing and protecting the rights and interests of workers; especially improving negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements. Mr. Quyet said: "The Grassroots Trade Union of Company 19.5 will continue to innovate and improve the quality of operations, accompany workers and businesses, and actively contribute to the overall development of the Trade Union of Department H08 and the People's Police Trade Union".
Mr. Tran Xuan Lich - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Department of Political Work proposed a number of solutions to build a system of standard cultural values for cadres and union members of the People's Police Trade Union: Innovate political and ideological education forms, launch the movement "One union member, one digital initiative", strengthen the supervisory role of trade union organizations in implementing democratic regulations.
At the Conference, the signing ceremony of the emulation agreement took place, implementing the "Three Firsts" and "Three Innovations" emulation movements in 2026; The People's Police Trade Union also set out 15 key tasks, identifying 3 breakthroughs.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour acknowledged and praised the efforts and outstanding results achieved by the People's Public Security Trade Union in 2025.
Regarding the tasks for 2026, Vice Chairman Huynh Thanh Xuan directed: "I request you comrades to well implement propaganda, participate in activities to celebrate major holidays associated with emulation movements; promote innovation and digital transformation in trade union activities; focus on effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers and clearly promote the role of the People's Public Security Trade Union in the activities of the Central Sector Trade Unions' Emulation Bloc".
At the conference, the VGCL awarded Emulation Flags to 2 collectives, Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 20 individuals; the People's Police Trade Union awarded Emulation Flags to 6 collectives, Certificates of Merit to 16 collectives and 172 individuals.
