Since the beginning of 2026, Workers' Month activities have witnessed thousands of initiatives from workers across the country. These initiatives not only help improve labor processes but also contribute to reducing costs and improving the quality of products and services. These success stories are widely shared in conferences and seminars, and are a source of motivation to encourage workers to constantly innovate in their work.
Typically, at Viet Nhat Steel Joint Stock Company (VJ Steel), workers have created a system to automate part of the steel production stage, helping to minimize errors and save raw materials. This model not only helps the company save hundreds of millions of VND each year but also improves product quality, contributing to strengthening the company's brand.
At some electronic component manufacturing enterprises in Bac Ninh, workers have created automatic product quality control processes, helping to increase labor productivity by 15%.
Ms. Vu Thi Thu Huyen - Deputy Head of Planning - Technical Department at Central Enterprise (May 19 MTV Co., Ltd., Ministry of Public Security), shared: "This year's Workers' Month, the trade union not only focuses on visiting and supporting workers facing difficulties but also expands creative activities. The Trade Union has organized programs to encourage workers to participate in initiatives to improve production processes, helping to reduce costs and improve labor productivity.
Trade union organization promotes creative labor
Leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor have played an important role in initiating and promoting creative movements among workers and laborers.
At the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026 organized by the Textile and Garment Trade Union on April 21, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong requested union members, workers and trade union organizations throughout the industry to continue to promote intelligence, promote initiatives and creativity; link the emulation movement "Good Labor - Creative Labor" with digital transformation, application of science and technology, and improvement of production processes to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness of enterprises.
Also at the Workshop "Trade Unions innovate and improve the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age" held on April 23 in Quang Ninh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu also commented: "In the context of continuous digital transformation, more and more new jobs and new working forms are appearing. Therefore, there needs to be a new perspective, a new approach in the new context, we cannot do it in the old way, but must strengthen the application of digital technology, science and technology to work and supervise and handle safety risks for workers".
When attending and speaking at the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 of the Industry and Trade sector, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized: "Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health is a widespread socio-political activity, not only aimed at honoring workers but also promoting trade union levels to act more strongly in caring for and protecting the rights of union members. Each activity must truly bring specific and practical benefits to workers".
Vice Chairman Phan Van Anh also participated in many meaningful activities in the series of events of Workers' Month 2026 such as the Launching Ceremony of the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Hanoi City Workers' Month 2026. The event marks the beginning of a series of peak activities in May, aiming to care for and protect the rights of workers, while building a safe, modern and sustainable working environment in the Capital.
In Gia Lai, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung attended the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and commended typical workers and laborers in 2026 organized by the Gia Lai Provincial Confederation of Labor. This year's Workers' Month is themed "Gia Lai Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity". According to the Provincial Confederation of Labor, many practical activities will be implemented such as "May Dialogue", a forum to contribute opinions on building Trade Unions in the new era, the program "Thank you to workers", activities to care for life and launch creative labor emulation.
Workers' Month 2026 is a clear demonstration of the combination of creativity, productivity and welfare in taking care of workers' lives. The leadership participation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in these activities has created a strong motivation to help workers not only be creative in their work but also have practical benefits to feel secure in their work. These creative policies are not only a breakthrough in trade union work but also an important factor contributing to improving the productivity and quality of workers' work, promoting the sustainable development of the economy.
