At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the Decision to establish 41 commune and ward unions, the Decision to appoint the Provisional Executive Committee and key positions of newly established unions. At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor also announced the Decision to receive 10 grassroots unions with 114,242 union members under the management of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Manh Son - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that the establishment of a trade union organization at the commune and ward levels is an important step in consolidating and perfecting the trade union apparatus in the direction of streamlining, effective and efficient operations, in line with the requirements and tasks in the new period. This is also a condition for trade unions at all levels to fulfill their role in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Mr. Vo Manh Son suggested that the newly established team of commune and ward union officials urgently grasp the work, proactively stick to the grassroots, promote a sense of responsibility, intelligence and rich practical experience, constantly improve the quality and efficiency of operations. Union officials need to focus on promoting propaganda and mobilizing union members and workers to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, while proactively coordinating to promptly resolve issues arising in labor relations and protect the rights of workers.
The establishment and completion of the commune and ward trade union organization is considered a practical step, contributing to building the Thanh Hoa provincial trade union organization to be increasingly strong, meeting the development requirements in the new situation.
