According to the announcement issued by the school, students with a total admission score of 2.5 points or more - including priority and incentive scores - will be admitted to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year.
This information makes many parents and teachers wonder and worry: With such a score, what are the actual capacity of students, whether they are eligible to continue studying in high school or not? There are also opinions asking: How is the education level of junior high school so weak, or is the 10th grade exam too difficult, causing the score to plummet?

Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper on July 3, Mr. Pham Xuan Phu - Principal of Nam Dan 2 High School - confirmed that the above admission notice was issued by the school.
Mr. Phu said that the benchmark score for the second round was low because after the candidate changed his wishes, the number of applications for the first round did not meet the admission quota: "The school was assigned 450 quotas but lacked about 40 students, so we were forced to recruit additional students".
"In principle, candidates who have graduated from junior high school without a disability score (0 points) in the 10th grade entrance exam will be considered for admission. In fact, in the second round, many students also achieved high scores, not all of them were as low, said Mr. Phu.
The school announced the time for the second round of admission taking place on July 4, 2025. After that time, if students do not come to do the procedures, the school will not keep the quota.
