On March 20, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngo Quyen ward, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation coordinated with the ward Trade Union to organize a ceremony to announce the decision to establish grassroots trade unions at 2 businesses in the area.
Two units were established with grassroots trade unions, including Asia Maritime Equipment and Service Joint Stock Company and Construction Trading and Service Co., Ltd. No. 6. At the ceremony, the organizing committee announced the decision to establish and admit 89 workers to the Vietnam Trade Union organization.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation requested the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union to quickly stabilize the organization, build operating regulations and promote the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. At the same time, it is necessary to proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers to promptly coordinate with businesses to resolve them.
Leaders of the City Labor Federation also requested businesses to continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for grassroots trade unions to operate effectively; coordinate to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers, towards building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
The establishment of more grassroots trade unions not only contributes to expanding the network of trade union organizations, but also creates a solid support for employees at enterprises, thereby promoting the sustainable development of the unit.
