On August 30, information from the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor said that the unit had just coordinated to establish another grassroots trade union in the area.
Accordingly, the Thuc Phan Ward Market Management Board currently has 43 employees, under the ward People's Committee and operating under the economic autonomy mechanism.
The unit is responsible for managing, operating and effectively exploiting services at 5 markets: Xanh, Song Bang, Song Hien, De Tham and Cao Binh, with more than 1,000 fixed-term business households and many households selling agricultural products, self-reported products and traditional markets.
Recognizing the role of trade unions in protecting workers' rights and accompanying the development of the unit, the Mobilization Committee has deployed propaganda and mobilization work to establish grassroots trade unions.
As a result, 40 485 workers (except for 3 cases of overage) voluntarily participated. At the Congress, delegates unanimously elected the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union consisting of 5 capable, responsible and prestigious comrades, to orient activities in the direction of innovation and creativity, both caring for union members' rights and accompanying the unit for sustainable development.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Nhung - Vice President in charge of the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor highly appreciated the close coordination of the Market Management Board in the process of mobilizing the establishment of trade union organizations.
She emphasized that grassroots trade unions need to promptly implement practical activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights of union members, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, contributing to the unit's further development.
