On August 26, the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor (CFF) said that the unit had just coordinated with the Provincial Cooperative Union to hold a meeting at the grassroots level.
Accordingly, the two units visited and worked at Cach Linh mulberry Cooperative (be Van Dan commune) and Phuc Hoa Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative (Phuc Hoa commune).
The purpose is to grasp the situation of production, business, workers' lives as well as the work of building and consolidating trade union organizations in the new context.
At Cach Linh mulberry Cooperative, established in March 2025 with a mulberry growing area of 15 hectares, the delegation listened to a report on the initial results in applying new techniques, linking with local farmers to create jobs, increase income and care for the lives of union members and workers.
Next, the working group with Phuc Hoa Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative, a unit currently has 15 employees, 100% of whom participate in social insurance.
The cooperative operates mainly in the fields of growing, purchasing and consuming agricultural products; supplying agricultural materials; developing a livestock model combined with ecological and circular farming.
In addition to ensuring income, the unit also cares about labor safety regimes, shift meals and the spiritual life of workers.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Nhung - Vice President in charge of the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor praised the efforts of cooperatives in developing production associated with caring for workers' lives.
She emphasized that the establishment of grassroots trade unions is necessary to protect the legitimate and legal rights of workers, while acting as a bridge connecting with cooperative owners.
The working group hopes that cooperatives will pay attention and create conditions for the establishment of grassroots trade unions, thereby coordinating with trade union organizations to better care for union members and workers, build harmonious and stable labor relations, contribute to improving production efficiency, the reputation of the unit and promoting local socio-economic development.
