Sir, Uncle Ho taught "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism must be emulation". At the VGCL, how are emulation movements deployed and implemented?
- The VGCL determines that organizing and implementing patriotic emulation movements is an important political task and is of even greater significance in the context that the country is entering a new stage of development.
In the current period, the emulation movements of the VGCL closely follow the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs, development of science and technology, emulation is no longer limited to the scope of lecture halls but has expanded to the scale of laboratories and technology transfer markets.
Faced with the strong impact of the digital age and artificial intelligence, the VGCL determined: Creativity is the "key", technology is the "door" for development. Accordingly, emulation movements focus on encouraging intellectuals and scientists at universities not only stop at international publications but must aim for technology solutions with high applicability. In the digital society environment, scientists are encouraged to emulate in research on big data, cloud computing and especially AI models serving national governance and economic development.
Trade union levels in the education sector not only launch but also encourage union members through practical activities at grassroots trade unions in the direction of building a free and creative academic environment; supporting resources and connecting; protecting intellectual property rights.
The close coordination between the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and the emulation movements of the Trade Union has created a dynamic "research ecosystem". When each scientist has sufficient conditions, is motivated and receives timely support, technology solutions bearing the Vietnamese brand will surely be born, directly meeting the development requirements of the country in the era of artificial intelligence, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of making our country a developed country with modern industry by 2030 and 2045.
Sir, please tell us the outstanding results that the patriotic emulation movement in the Vietnam Education Union has achieved in the past time?
- Uncle Ho's teaching: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism must be emulation" has become an action motto, a great source of motivation for trade union levels of the VGCL to organize and widely launch emulation movements among union members and workers. Patriotic emulation movements are not only a form of spiritual encouragement but have become a key driving force, promoting the strong transformation from awareness to action of cadres, teachers and students.
Faced with the requirement to reform education in the spirit of Resolution 29-NQ/TW, emulation movements such as "Teaching well, learning well" or "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning" are maintained and developed in accordance with each stage, becoming a working motto for each union member, teacher, and worker, orienting development for each school.
It can be affirmed that patriotic emulation movements in the education sector in the past time have created a healthy competitive environment, arousing professional self-esteem and the desire for dedication of teachers; connecting theory and practice, turning guidelines and policies into specific actions in each classroom and school; meeting international standards, helping Vietnamese education gradually approach advanced education systems in the region and in the world through the continuous innovation of each teacher and each school.
In particular, the "Good Teaching, Good Learning" emulation has become a xuyên suốt symbol of the education sector. In the new period, "Good Teaching - Good Learning" is no longer limited to one-way knowledge transmission, the movement has aimed at developing the qualities and abilities of learners. Teachers are not only teachers but also guides and inspirers. In addition, the emulation movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning" has brought breakthrough effects in management, teaching, and learning.
As a result, emulation movements have created a positive educational ecosystem where each teacher is a role model of self-study and creativity.
Sir, in your opinion, in the coming time, what orientation should the emulation movements of the Vietnam Education Union in particular and the Vietnam Trade Union in general be implemented to meet the new development requirements of the country?
- Our country is entering a new stage of development with many intertwined opportunities and challenges. In that journey, the working class and trade union organizations play a particularly important role. The Vietnam Trade Union organization in general, and the Vietnam Education Union in particular, need to continue to innovate strongly to truly be a fulcrum for workers, a center of unity, gathering the strength of union members and workers in the new era.
I believe that each patriotic emulation movement is not only an activity to encourage the spirit of labor but also a place to nurture the aspiration to contribute, the spirit of responsibility and national pride. Emulation must be substantive, create motivation, and inspire workers because every initiative, every creative action, every effort to overcome difficulties of today's workers are contributing to building the education sector to develop, localities to be rich and strong, and the country to be prosperous and happy.
