In a company with 100% Japanese investment capital, with more than 800 employees working, Mr. Nguyen Long is known as a person who always tries to foster a harmonious relationship between employers and workers, becoming a trusting " cau" in the enterprise.
After more than 10 years of being attached to the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union, Mr. Long and the Executive Board of the Trade Union have continuously proposed and successfully negotiated with the Company's Board of Directors to build a collective labor agreement, ensuring the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees. Policy regimes on salary, wages, social insurance, health insurance, and occupational safety and hygiene are implemented publicly and transparently.
The union also promotes its role in caring for the lives of union members, especially supporting workers in difficult circumstances through "Union Shelter" programs, mutual support funds, or timely visits and encouragement activities.
As Deputy Executive Director of Production, Mr. Long is also the " Attic" of the emulation movement for innovation in enterprises.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, each year R Vietnam Technical Research Company Limited has 150 - 200 technical initiatives, bringing billions of VND in benefits. Creative proposals and process improvements are recognized and rewarded by the company, creating strong motivation for employees to strive and stay long-term.
Mr. Nguyen Long alone has had 7 scientific topics and technical initiatives, notably "Improving the system to provide ballistics solutions for glass processing machines" - an initiative that has been applied since 2018, significantly reducing the rate of defective products, saving costs, and benefiting businesses more than 2 billion VND.
With a spirit of dedication, responsibility and enthusiasm for the workers' movement, Mr. Nguyen Long has been commended and rewarded many times. In 2023, he was awarded the 4th Nguyen Duc Canh Award - a noble award of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for outstanding individuals in the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers". He is also the first person in the old Hoa Binh province (now Phu Tho province after the merger) to be honored with this award.
Under his leadership, the Trade Union of R Vietnam Technical Research Company Limited has truly become a solid support, a place to place the trust of hundreds of workers.
From those tireless efforts, at the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers and Civil Servants organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Nguyen Long was honored as an outstanding advanced example, contributing to affirming the position of Vietnamese workers in the period of integration and development.
The title is a recognition, but the most valuable thing is still that each worker is able to work in a safe environment, be respected and have the opportunity to develop. That is the greatest success of the union and the enterprise" - Mr. Long shared.
