Cash bonus for Tet is 500,000 VND
Mr. Tran Ngoc Nguyen (30 years old) - a worker at Xuan Truong II Garment Factory (Truc Ninh, Nam Dinh) said that the company officially announced the 2025 New Year bonus of 500,000 VND for each worker.
According to Mr. Nguyen, this bonus is the same as last year but still makes him and other workers extremely happy. Because 500,000 VND is a fairly high Tet bonus compared to many companies in the area. Mr. Nguyen's wife also received a bonus of 200,000 VND from the company on the occasion of New Year.
With the 700,000 VND Tet bonus, Mr. Nguyen shared that he will use it to take his children to the shopping mall. According to the male worker, if they go out and eat normally, this amount of money will be enough for the whole family during the holiday, without having to spend more.
Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc (30 years old) - a worker at Amara Vietnam Shoes Company Limited (Nam Dinh) - said that the bonus for the New Year this year is 70,000 VND, the same as last year. Although the bonus is small, Ms. Ngoc is still happy and sympathizes with the company.
“Ten dongs of salary is not equal to one dong of bonus, even though the bonus is not high, I am still happy. The company has more than 10,000 employees, so an increase of 10,000 dong is still a very large number, so we do not ask for anything more,” said Ms. Ngoc.
Sharing her plans for the holiday, Ms. Ngoc said she will just hang around near home, take her children out, and the estimated cost will be around 200,000 VND.
Tet bonus with gifts and gifts
On December 26, 2024, Spectre Vietnam Garment Technology Co., Ltd. (Thai Binh) officially awarded Tet bonuses to employees.
Workers will receive gifts worth 500,000 VND including: 1 case of beer, 1 case of soft drink, seasoning powder, fish sauce, chili sauce, and broth powder.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom (31 years old) - a worker at the company - shared that the New Year bonus is as valuable as the Lunar New Year. Although it cannot be converted into money, the gifts given by the company are very meaningful and practical.
“It is said to be 500,000 VND but in reality, if you buy retail, it will be more than this amount. These are all essential products that every family buys during Tet, so we find them very meaningful and useful,” said Ms. Thom.
In addition, Ms. Thom said that the company also gave away a voucher (purchase/gift certificate) for shopping at the supermarket worth 1,450,000 VND. Near Tet, Ms. Thom and her family will go to the supermarket 20km from home to buy other essential items.
According to the female worker, this voucher helps her family save a lot of money on Tet shopping.
On December 28, 2024, Song Hong Xuan Truong Garment Joint Stock Company (Nam Dinh) also gave Tet gifts to its employees. Each officer and employee working in the company was given 3 bottles of 1 liter cooking oil and 2 packs of MSG, worth a total of 200,000 VND.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dai (27 years old) - a worker at the company - said that the New Year bonus in the form of gifts or cash is extremely valuable and meaningful: "Even if we are rewarded with money, we still have to buy these products to use in our daily lives. Having bonuses for Tet and other holidays shows that the company really cares and recognizes the dedication of its employees."
