Affirming the role of the working class in the new period
Mr. Phan Thanh Liem, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), said that Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026 will be implemented from May 1 to May 31, 2026, associated with the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026).
This is the peak month to promote initiatives, technical improvements, and digital transformation in production. The Trade Union will coordinate with businesses to receive and support the implementation of valuable initiatives, and at the same time promptly commend typical workers.
The "May Dialogue" program and the forum for contributing opinions on building trade union organizations will be widely implemented, creating conditions for workers to directly express their thoughts and aspirations to leaders.
In addition, the "Thank you to Workers" program continues to be promoted with many practical care activities such as: visiting and supporting workers in difficult circumstances; organizing "Trade Union Meals"; periodic health check-ups; psychological counseling, reproductive health; organizing cultural and sports activities.
In the Action Month on OSH 2026, focus on raising awareness and complying with labor safety laws; promoting the application of technology and artificial intelligence in propaganda and training.
The emulation movements "Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ensuring occupational safety and health" continue to be innovated, towards building a safety culture in the workplace. The Trade Union also strengthens supervision, coordinates inspection and examination in high-risk industries.
Many provincial-level activities create highlights
With the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity" and "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age", the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation will deploy a series of provincial-level activities with many notable highlights.
According to the plan, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation will organize a launching ceremony for Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health on April 24.
Next is the May flag salute ceremony with the theme of celebrating the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day, scheduled to take place on May 4th at April 2nd Square (Nha Trang ward).
Notably, the 2026 Khanh Hoa Provincial Excellent Safety and Hygiene Officer Contest will be organized online, contributing to innovating propaganda methods and improving access efficiency in the context of digital transformation.
In particular, the meeting and dialogue between the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and union members and workers was organized for the first time, in order to listen to and promptly resolve the legitimate petitions and aspirations of union members and workers.
In addition, the provincial trade union also focuses on practical care programs for workers such as: visiting and giving gifts to workers injured in labor accidents, occupational diseases, and people in difficult circumstances.
For grassroots-level trade unions, ward trade unions and affiliated units. The Provincial Labor Federation proposed to proactively develop an activity plan for Workers' Month and Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 at their level to ensure practicality, effectiveness, and create strong spillover effects.
The activities aim to further affirm the position and role of the working class; strengthen the attention of the political system, businesses and society to caring for and building a modern and strong worker contingent, meeting the requirements of innovation.
