Excited to welcome Tet
This year, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam - a worker at Di An Industrial Park (Binh Duong province) - received great joy when she received both a high bonus and a salary increase from the company. After working for over 1 year, she was awarded 2 months of salary by the company including basic salary and regular allowances. In addition to the bonus, the female worker also received a 4% increase in basic salary and some allowances from January 1, 2025.
“With a bonus that is almost double the previous year, I can buy more for my family during Tet. Some workers who do not return to their hometown but register to stay until the 29th of Tet will receive gifts. All these benefits make workers far from home like me feel very warm,” Ms. Tam shared.
Looking back on a year of hard work, Ms. Tran Thi Bich Van - a worker at Tra Noc Industrial Park (Can Tho City) - happily said that the average income of female workers ranges from 10 - 12 million VND/month. This is thanks to the company having many orders, stable production, and regular overtime.
“The company is doing well, so our jobs and incomes are also guaranteed. Compared to the years after the COVID-19 pandemic, my income has increased significantly, with a Tet bonus of more than 10 million VND. My family life is more comfortable thanks to that,” said the female worker.
With many orders and overtime, this year's income of Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Rang - a worker at Thot Not Industrial Park (Can Tho City) - remains at 9 to 10 million VND/month. Thanks to that, the female worker's Tet bonus has also increased significantly. Ms. Rang said: "My Tet bonus is almost double that of last year. Working hard all year, accompanying the company, that's all I hope for. This year, my family will celebrate Tet more prosperously than usual."
Many wishes in the new year
For Ms. Tam, the salary increase is not too much but it is a great encouragement for her to return to work after Tet as well as continue to work with the company in the future: "With the new salary and high bonus, I will return to work on schedule to meet production progress as well as deserve the company's treatment."
In addition to the high bonus, Ms. Rang also received Tet gifts from the company and the Union, including cakes, jams, and necessities, helping female workers to cover many family expenses: "I plan to use this year's bonus to go out for Tet and save for spending after returning to work. I hope that in the new year, I will have good health to continue to produce effectively and develop with the company."
With a bonus of over 10 million VND, Ms. Van did not spend it all on Tet but only bought necessary items, the remaining money will be saved for urgent use.
“The company produces well, so this Tet holiday is more complete and cozy for my family. The economy is still facing many difficulties, so I choose to spend reasonably to prepare for emergencies. In addition to hoping that the company will have many orders so that workers can work overtime and increase their income, I also hope that I will have good health to complete production targets and contribute to the business," the female worker said.
