Ms. Dinh Thi Nhan (36 years old) - a garment worker at Song Hong Xuan Truong Garment Joint Stock Company (Nam Dinh) said that the company has officially announced the Lunar New Year bonus in great detail to employees.
According to Ms. Nhan, most of the staff are awarded 2 months of average salary, along with ABC bonus (monthly production bonus).
It is worth noting that the 2-month salary is calculated based on the average output of the worker, not the basic salary. With this calculation, Ms. Nhan's 2-month salary is expected to be quite high, around 17 million to 19 million VND.
Ms. Nhan estimated ABC's bonus to be around 3,500,000 VND. After a quick calculation, the female worker said the total Tet bonus ranges from 20 million to more than 22 million VND.
With the above Tet bonus, Ms. Nhan feels extremely satisfied and more secure when spending and shopping during the Lunar New Year 2025. According to Ms. Nhan, this Tet bonus is well worth the efforts she has made throughout the year.
“I plan to give each of my grandparents 2.5 million VND and set aside about 2 million VND as lucky money for my grandchildren. Candy, offerings, and food for Tet will cost about 3 million VND, clothes for the family will cost about 2 million VND, and the rest will be for other expenses,” the female worker shared her Tet spending plan.
Recently, Vietnam Samho Company Limited (Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City) also announced the 2025 Lunar New Year Bonus for employees.
Accordingly, officers and employees who have worked for 1 year or more will be rewarded with 1 month of basic salary and special allowance. Employees who have worked for less than 1 year will be rewarded according to the number of months worked.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhi (28 years old) - a worker working at the company said that the company's Tet bonus is very competitive compared to other companies. Therefore, the female worker feels it is very reasonable and feels secure in working there.
Both Nhi and her husband work for the same company, so they are expected to receive a total Tet bonus of about 14 million VND. According to the female worker, this bonus is enough to cover essential expenses for Tet.
“We agreed to spend 300,000 VND to catch the bus back to our hometown and back to the company, 2 million VND to buy new clothes for ourselves and the children. Lucky money is about 2.5 million VND, the maximum amount for buying cakes and food for Tet is 4 million VND, and 1 million VND for each side of the family, if we spend wisely it will be enough” - Ms. Nhi said.
Ms. Nhi said that the company has a policy of taking workers from far away home for Tet, so the couple's travel expenses are not much affected.
With the current attractive welfare regime, the female worker shared that she will not quit her job after Tet and is determined to stay with the company for a long time.
