The number of members cared for increases every year.
Activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers have received special attention from Thai Nguyen trade unions at all levels. Over the past 3 years, the number of union members and workers cared for each year has been 10% higher than the previous year through support sources and union funds.
Accordingly, the union organized visits and gifts for policy families; meritorious people; people with work accidents and occupational diseases; people in difficult circumstances, affected by COVID-19; gave gifts to schools, students; poor households; gave bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet; supported the construction of union shelters and gratitude houses...with a total amount of over 96.2 billion VND.
In particular, in 2024, due to the impact of storm No. 3, 13,386 union members and workers in Thai Nguyen province were affected by storms and rains, of which 13,306 people suffered damage to their houses and property.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor directs and urges the Federations of Labor of districts, cities, industry unions, and affiliated grassroots unions to support people, union members, and workers to overcome the consequences and quickly stabilize their lives. Up to now, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor has allocated funds from the first support sources for 2,837 union members with a value of 3,53 billion VND.
Cultural, letters and arts, and sports activities take place widely and enthusiastically. Every year, 100% of grassroots trade unions and over 80% of grassroots trade unions have cultural, letters and arts, and sports activities to create a healthy playground and improve the spiritual life of union members and workers. The Provincial Federation of Labor has also signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize 10 singing art programs for workers and 1 sports tournament for workers and workers each year.

According to Mr. Pham Viet Dung - Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation - Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation organizes "Workers' Collective Wedding" as a new and creative activity to care for and help union members and workers who do not have the conditions to organize weddings. Recently, Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation has organized weddings for 60 worker couples.
Her father passed away early, so Ha Thi Kieu Anh finished high school and went to work as a worker at Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. Kieu Anh met and started a family with Doan Van Hai. They planned to get married, but Hai's circumstances were also difficult... When their daughter was almost 2 years old, Kieu Anh and her husband registered to participate in the "Collective Wedding of Workers" program in 2023 organized by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor. She and her husband were one of 17 couples selected to participate in the collective wedding in 2023.
At the 2023 “Workers’ Collective Wedding Ceremony”, couples were given gold rings, makeup, filming, wedding photos… for free. For workers in difficult circumstances, the thought of a wedding is “far away”. Everyone was happy and moved to tears when the Union created conditions for a solemn wedding ceremony.
"The collective wedding ceremony of workers" is an activity with profound humanistic meaning and is truly a bridge to add motivation and belief in building the dream of happiness for many union members and disadvantaged workers living and working in Thai Nguyen province" - Mr. Pham Viet Dung said.
