Clause 1, Article 12 of the Regulations issued with Circular 20/2018/TT-BGDDT stipulates the standards for selecting teachers for key general education institutions as follows:
- Be a teacher at a general education institution with at least 5 years of experience in direct teaching at the same level of education until the time of selection;
- Be classified as being assessed according to the professional standards of teachers at a good level or higher, in which the criteria in Article 5 of this Regulation must be good;
- Have the ability to design and implement model teaching hours, organize seminars, workshops, and training on teaching methods and techniques, education, and innovation related to professional and technical activities and training for colleagues in schools or schools in the area for reference and learning;
- ability to use foreign languages, apply information technology, exploit and use technological equipment in teaching and education, build and develop digital learning materials, and train teachers;
- Have the desire to become a core general education teacher.
In case the number of teachers meeting the above conditions is higher than the requirements of the superior management agency, priority will be given to selecting teachers from the core general education institution based on the following standards:
+ Have a qualification above the training standard.
+ Be classified as a good teacher's professional standard; be recognized as a good teacher at the provincial level or have outstanding achievements in teaching and education.
+ Having scientific and technical research products and innovative solutions in teaching and education recognized and widely used in schools and localities.
According to the explanation in Circular 20/2018/TT-BGDDT, teachers at key general education institutions are teachers at general education institutions with good moral qualities; understanding the educational situation; having good professional and technical capacity; having prestige in the school community; having the ability to advise, advise, support, lead, and share colleagues in professional and technical activities and in professional capacity development training activities.
