On April 8, the Representative Board of the Board of Directors of Trang Bang Ward Social Policy Bank held the first meeting to assess the results of social policy credit activities in the first quarter of 2026 and deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2026, with a focus on continuing to improve the effectiveness of supporting workers to access preferential capital sources.
According to the report at the meeting, Trang Bang ward is currently implementing 11 social policy credit programs with a total outstanding debt of more than 121.7 billion VND. From this capital source, 2,301 poor households and policy beneficiaries have been able to borrow capital to develop production and business, create jobs and maintain jobs for workers; and at the same time support the construction and repair of houses, upgrade clean water works, environmental sanitation, contributing to improving living conditions and ensuring social security in the locality.
In addition, the preferential credit program also creates conditions for students from families of workers in difficult circumstances to borrow capital to cover tuition fees and living expenses, contributing to maintaining long-term study.
At the meeting, the Representative Board of the Board of Directors of Trang Bang Ward Social Policy Bank announced the decision to establish a Representative Board of 4 members. Mr. Tran Minh Tam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee was assigned to be the Head of the Board.
Delegates focused on discussing solutions to improve the quality of social policy credit activities, strengthen inspection and supervision, handle overdue debts, ensure that preferential capital is used for the right purpose, and promote practical efficiency for workers and beneficiaries.
Speaking to direct at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hang - Deputy Director of the Tay Ninh Provincial Social Policy Bank branch requested the Representative Board to continue to promote preferential credit policies, improve the quality of inspection, supervision and definitively handle overdue debts, limit the occurrence of bad debts, contributing to ensuring capital sources to effectively serve production needs and create jobs for workers.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Minh Tam requested members of the Representative Board, associations, and unions entrusted to continue to improve their responsibility in managing loan capital sources; strengthen the review and classification of debts; closely monitor loans at risk of overdue debts; and effectively implement the "Saving Savings Week, joining hands for the poor", thereby contributing to expanding resources to support workers in the area to stabilize their lives and develop the family economy.
