One of the contents discussed at the conference was to streamline the organization of the General Confederation of Labor and its affiliated units to operate effectively and efficiently in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 18 and Resolution 19.
According to the agenda, at this session, the Presidium gave opinions on three contents, including: Project on reorganizing the apparatus of the General Confederation of Labor, the public service units under the General Confederation of Labor in the spirit of Resolution 18, Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee; on promulgating regulations on functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the General Confederation of Labor; on promulgating the Plan for developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in 2025.
In his opening speech, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that implementing Plan No. 04 dated November 13, 2024 and Conclusion No. 09 dated November 24, 2024 of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution No. 18 on a number of issues, we will continue to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient.
After more than 1 month of directing the summary of Resolution No. 18, on December 25, 2024, the Party Delegation and the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labour issued Project No. 03 to submit to the Politburo for approval. On December 28, 2024, the Politburo issued Decision No. 211-QD/TW on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the General Confederation of Labour.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that this is a very important content, with the goal of streamlining the organization of the General Confederation of Labor and its affiliated units to be streamlined, operating effectively and efficiently in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 18 and Resolution 19 of the 12th Party Central Committee. Therefore, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang requested the members of the Presidium to carefully study, discuss, and give opinions for the Presidium to consider and decide.
