On June 15, the Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor informed that the unit had just organized a conference to disseminate and disseminate laws to union members of the An Phu Commune Fisheries Union, under the Quang Ngai City Labor Federation.
Participating in and directly conveying important contents at the Conference, Lieutenant Colonel Truong Ngoc Khuong, Deputy Chief of the Provincial Border Guard's Political Department, as a reporter, focused on clarifying the Party's viewpoints and policies, the State's policies and laws related to the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. The key regulations of the 2017 Law on Fisheries, along with necessary legal procedures for people and vehicles operating at sea, have been informed to union members of the An Phu Commune Fisheries Union.

At the Conference, the reporter informed about the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws directly related to activities at sea. In particular, union members have been updated with necessary regulations and procedures for people and vehicles when exploiting seafood, regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
At the same time, the contents related to the decree on administrative sanctions for violations in the fisheries sector and foreign sanctions when Vietnamese fishing vessels violate regulations on sovereignty and exploitation of seafood were also emphasized.
Through the Conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor hopes to raise awareness and self-awareness to voluntarily comply with the law for each union member of the fishing union. Thereby, helping fishermen understand the regulations to exploit seafood safely, responsibly, comply with Vietnamese and international laws, actively participate with functional forces to firmly protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, while ensuring sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.
