On the evening of October 26, the 2024 Oil and Gas Industry Safety and Hygiene Competition concluded after 2 days of exciting competition with 136 outstanding safety and hygiene workers from 20 Oil and Gas Industry Trade Unions participating in the competition.
Attending the closing and award ceremony were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; leaders of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group; Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan - President of the Oil and Gas Industry Trade Union; representatives of Central and local trade unions; and 136 outstanding safety and hygiene workers along with about 500 union members and workers in the oil and gas industry.
Thereby, the Organizing Committee awarded dozens of prizes to the teams with high rankings; as well as dozens of prizes to the groups and individuals participating in the contests of topics, skits, practice, first aid, cheering, impressive safety and hygiene... In which, the unit of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PVGAS) excellently won the Special Prize for the whole group in the contest.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's contest has had many creative innovations in terms of content and organization. The quality of contestants participating in the contest is also higher, the greeting performances are also invested in elaborately, carefully and richly by the units.
Thereby, highly appreciated the expertise, as well as the spirit and awareness of the contestants and supporters of the units. The unique and rich contests associated with the images of activities expressed the pride of each member for their unit, with the strong development of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group.
With the desire to build a system of good safety officers with good expertise, more effective in occupational safety and hygiene, the competition is an important factor to maintain, develop and help the occupational safety and hygiene movement become more and more professional.
"I hope that leaders at all levels, trade unions and each employee in each unit need to be more responsible in paying attention to building a system and managing the activities of the safety and hygiene network, labor protection work; compliance with laws and regulations on safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting... is the top goal for development", Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan said in her closing speech of the contest.
