With the attention of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Golden Heart Charity Fund (Lao Dong Newspaper) and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), on July 17, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a program to award scholarships and Pens for reading and learning English to children of union members and workers (NLĐ) in difficult circumstances belonging to grassroots trade unions in the province.

At the program, representatives of units directly awarded 50 scholarships with a total amount of 50 million VND to disadvantaged students.
In addition, implementing the plan of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour on organizing activities to care for children of union members and workers on the occasion of the Action Month for Children in 2026, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation has received and distributed 200 sets of Pens for reading and learning English (accompanied by a set of digital technology books) from the support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to hand over to students who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the area.

Accompanying his daughter Nguyen Huyen Nhi to the Provincial Labor Federation hall early to receive gifts, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Minh Hieu (born in 1991, member of the grassroots Trade Union of Thao Ai Co., Ltd.) could not hide his emotion. Seeing his daughter happily holding a new set of pens with many functions, Mr. Minh Hieu shared that she really likes learning English, so this gift is extremely meaningful and practical for the family. "Thank you to the Trade Union organization for giving this meaningful and practical gift" - Mr. Minh Hieu expressed.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Tai Minh - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that in recent years, Quang Tri Trade Union and union members and workers have always received attention, support, and companionship from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vietcombank Bank and Tam Long Vang Charity Social Fund.

From this support, the Provincial Labor Federation has handed over gifts to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances who overcome difficulties and study well in the area. This is a great source of spiritual encouragement, adding motivation for the children to continue striving to rise up in their studies, and at the same time contributing to supporting part of the tuition fees and sharing difficulties with their families," Mr. Nguyen Tai Minh emphasized.
This is a deeply humane activity of the Trade Union organization, showing practical care for future generations and promptly supporting poor workers to feel secure in their work.
