14 "Union and children continue to step forward" savings books were given to 7 children of union members and workers according to Decision No. 2079/QD-TLD of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on promulgating regulations to support orphans who are children of union members and workers who died due to storm No. 3 (Yagi).
The children are the children of Mr. Hoang Nam Tao and Vu Dinh Trung, workers at the Transport and Unloading Workshop, Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company; and Mr. Tran Van Truong, a worker at the Mining and Tunneling Workshop 3, Nam Mau Coal Company. These are the workers who died due to storm No. 3.
Each child receives 2 savings books, each worth 10 million VND from the accumulated financial resources of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and from the financial resources of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Union.
According to regulations, the beneficiaries are children under 16 years old whose father or mother or both parents are union members, or workers with labor contracts who died due to Typhoon Yagi. The savings book is given to the child's legal guardian, including the father or mother, or the legal guardian confirmed by the competent authority.
At the ceremony of handing over the savings book "Trade Union with children to continue the journey", Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor shared the losses, encouraged the family and children to overcome difficulties, soon stabilize their lives, overcome their circumstances and strive to rise up.
Receiving the "Union and children continue to step forward" savings book and the sharing of the Union at all levels, Ms. Ha Thi Phuong, wife of Mr. Vu Dinh Trung, was moved to say that after her husband passed away, the Company had paid great attention to the family, from policies and regimes to encouragement and sharing.
