Responding to the peak emulation period to welcome the Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress, on September 23, the Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF) handed over the Trade Union Shelter to Ms. Nguyen Thi My Vien, a grassroots union member of Nghi Phong Joint Venture Company Limited.
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Provincial Federation of Labor; representatives of local authorities, leaders, Trade Union of the Company and the family who received support.


Ms. Nguyen Thi My Vien (38 years old) is the main breadwinner in a family of 4. In the early morning of July 23, storm No. 3 swept through, causing her house to collapse completely and all of her assets to be swept away, causing an estimated loss of 200 million VND. With an income of only 5.5 million VND/month, this incident put her family in a very difficult situation.
In that situation, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor promptly supported and helped her family rebuild a new house with an area of 108 m2, with a total cost of 160 million VND. Of which, the Dong Thap Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch supported 60 million VND, the remaining amount was contributed by the family and borrowed from relatives.
At the handover ceremony, Ms. My Vien emotionally shared: "With the support of the Union, my family is less worried, has a solid roof to protect us from the rain and wind, and can rest assured to take care of our elderly parents and young daughters."

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui, President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, affirmed that supporting the construction of houses for union members is a practical activity, demonstrating the spirit of "Where workers are in difficulty, there is a Trade Union".
Ms. Tuyet Vui emphasized that this is a meaningful project to celebrate major holidays in 2025, especially the Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress and the Trade Union Congress at all levels.

The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor expressed his hope that Ms. My Vien's family will strive to improve their lives. At the same time, she affirmed that in the coming time, the Trade Union at all levels will continue to mobilize social resources to bring more shelter to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
