On June 11, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) held a direct and online conference to disseminate Project No. 04/DA-LDLD on ending the activities of the LDLD of districts, cities, towns and some trade unions at the grassroots level. The conference was connected to points across the province, chaired by Comrade Nguyen Chi Cong - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
At the conference, Ms. Phan Thi Trang, Head of the Provincial Federation of Labor's Organization and Inspection Committee, presented the main content of the Project, clearly stating the policy of ending the activities of district, city, and city-level Federations of Labor, Trade Unions of Provincial Party agencies, Provincial People's Committee, Education Trade Unions, Southeast Economic Zone Trade Unions, and grassroots trade unions of administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of State budget salaries. The goal of the Project is to streamline the apparatus, innovate the organization and improve the effectiveness of trade union activities in the new context.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Chi Cong - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized: "Implementing the Project is an inevitable requirement, in order to comply with the roadmap for innovation of trade union organization and activities in the spirit of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo. The implementation process needs to be carried out synchronously, seriously, with a clear roadmap and especially focusing on ideological work for cadres, union members, and workers to ensure consensus and stability in the system".
He also requested units to carefully review and prepare sufficient records and data to serve the handover of organizations, assets, finances and personnel. Units need to closely coordinate with the professional departments of the Provincial Federation of Labor to promptly resolve difficulties arising during the implementation process.
Comrade Nguyen Chi Cong emphasized that the implementation of the Project must be implemented synchronously and have a clear roadmap.
At the conference, Comrade Phan Van Hong - Head of the Finance Department of the Provincial Federation of Labor also shared contents related to financial management and trade union assets after the end of activities and instructed on necessary procedures according to the regulations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
At the end of the conference, comrade Nguyen Chi Cong suggested that units and localities proactively implement specifically and closely follow the Project's timelines. He assigned the task to the professional departments of the Provincial Federation of Labor to actively coordinate and support the grassroots to ensure the implementation process is smooth, effective, in accordance with regulations and completed within the prescribed time.
