Coming up from a factory worker
Mr. Quang Duc Viet is from Khoi Chau district, Hung Yen province. Graduated from college in Hanoi, Mr. Viet worked as an employee of a travel company for nearly 2 years in Sa Pa (Lao Cai). With unstable work, away from home and no future, in March 2012, Mr. Viet decided to return to his hometown and applied to work as a worker at Denyo Vietnam Co., Ltd. (denyo Co., Ltd.).
In the first two years of working at Denyo Company, Mr. Viet has not decided to stay with Denyo for a long time. "At that time, my salary was low, my husband and I had just gotten married, life was quite difficult so I was still broke. In 2014, I also considered taking a leave of absence to work abroad in Japan. After that, I calmed down and decided to strive for another 1-2 years. If there was no change in my job position, I would quit and find a new direction, Mr. Viet shared. At the end of 2014, Mr. Viet and a number of workers were selected to train and operate the second factory of Denyo Company. At that time, he and his colleagues were trained and improved their skills by both experts from Japan. Mr. Viet sees a brighter road ahead, he feels secure in his work, focusing on learning from his colleagues who have gone before...
In 2015, Mr. Viet was appointed as team leader, in 2018, he became team leader... After rotating through different positions and departments, he was appointed as assistant head of the quality management department. Having achieved the success he has today, Mr. Viet said that the company has supported him with training in knowledge related to production practice and learned many soft skills such as management skills, communication skills...
More importantly, depending on the job position and practical requirements, employees can proactively suggest that the company give them the knowledge and skills they are lacking to study. Fortunately, my proposals are always considered by leaders and quickly responded. It is even more beneficial to send workers to school, workers have a car to pick them up, if they have to study on Saturdays and Sundays, the company will calculate the salary as if they are working" - Mr. Viet said. From a shaky hand, working as a worker directly at a company producing a basic salary of 2.7 million VND/month, after 13 years, Mr. Viet has an income of more than 20 million VND/month.
Continuous learning
As an excellent worker, in 2022, Mr. Viet was honored to be one of 7 workers of Denyo Company to visit the parent company in Japan for 1 week. "The more I go, visit technology, learn many things from practice, the more motivated I am to strive and study continuously" - Mr. Viet said.
The learning process has improved, the biggest difficulty for employees, according to Mr. Viet, is applying theory to practice to solve problems arising at work. For him, working in a Japanese enterprise is always required to focus on quality, prioritize solving the root cause, so he has to try and pay more attention. In terms of advantages, he always has the companionship and support of superiors, the teamwork spirit in the enterprise is also very good, supporting the workers a lot at work. The grassroots trade union also promptly listens to, grasps the aspirations of employees and has timely exchanges with business leaders.
Ms. Bui Thi Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Denyo Vietnam Company - said "The company has many young workers, the Trade Union always focuses on implementing welfare regimes quickly to ensure the rights of employees".
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters about accompanying and supporting workers, especially young workers, Mr. Mae Yasuyoshi - General Director of Denyo Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said: "In the future, we plan to recruit more young workers to expand production in parallel with efforts to improve salary and welfare regimes and conduct internal personnel rotation to improve employee capacity, thereby paying them a worthy salary".
