Small initiative helps workers escape the "red eye" situation of finding a car
Mr. Nguyen Gia Thai (36 years old, from Ha Tinh) works at TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company headquartered in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai). During his work, Mr. Thai has many simple, practical initiatives that are closer to workers.
From a normal worker, Mr. Thai has now matured and is the company's environmental group manager.

Mr. Thai shared that his initiative started from work, from simple things arising in life. "Many times, workers share with us about the fact that every time they take a vehicle from the parking lot to leave after work, it is very difficult because the company has thousands of workers who work overtime after each shift, equivalent to thousands of motorbikes at each parking lot. When workers have urgent work to return home, they struggle all the time not to find a vehicle, having to wait for someone else to take all the vehicles before finding a vehicle," said Mr. Thai.
Therefore, Mr. Thai mobilized many union members to spend a Sunday together painting the serial number on the column so that workers could easily recognize the parking location. Since then, finding a means of transportation after work has become easier and more convenient. Small work has brought unexpected results.
Technical improvements help the company save 100 million VND/month
In production, Mr. Thai always explores technical innovations to eliminate waste and ensure the best conditions for the workshop.
A typical example is improving water valve changes, helping to save over 100 million VND/month for the company and being widely applied to the entire group. Mr. Thai said: Previously, the company used to use closed valves, causing the water valve to turn locked for a long time, many workers lazy to lock the water valve, leading to waste of clean water. After that, I thought about how to use valves like lotus hoses, workers do not need to operate much and do not waste water. My initiative was praised by the company's board of directors and then applied to the entire group around the world".
Mr. Thai also helped the company have many opinions to improve the working environment and combat waste. On average, every month, he has 2 initiatives that can be applied. The petition is a proposal to reuse paper and plastic pallets. Observing the reality, seeing the pallets of piled up in the company's waste collection area being prepared to be thrown away even though they were still fresh, Mr. Thai suggested that the board of directors negotiate and return them to the supplier for use in the packaging process. This proposal was immediately applied by the company and suppliers. Just like that, instead of being able to use a paper pallet once, now being able to use it 4 times, plastic pallets can also be used within a few months.
Mr. Thai shared: "As a worker working at a 100% foreign-invested enterprise, I myself always have to make a lot of effort. In my daily work, I always strive to complete assigned tasks, boldly take on difficult tasks and try my best to complete them".
After work, Mr. Thai also studied English and Korean at the company's classroom to improve his foreign language skills and improve his qualifications to create new values for himself and for the business.
