Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - President of the Vietnam Health Trade Union said that, implementing the direction of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Health Trade Union has promptly issued Document No. 318/CV-CDYT dated October 1, 2025 on reporting on the situation of union members and workers in the health sector affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi). The Vietnam Health Trade Union has directed its affiliated grassroots trade unions to focus on implementing well the work of preventing storm No. 10.
The Vietnam Health Trade Union recommends that units closely coordinate with local authorities, units, and business owners to promptly overcome the consequences of storms; proactively visit, encourage, and share with union members and workers affected by storm No. 10; quickly report the situation of union members and workers affected by storm No. 10 for synthesis and consideration of support. According to a quick report from the units, as of 12:00 on October 3, 2025, 116 union members and workers in the health sector were affected by storm No. 10 with an estimated amount of more than 4,325,000,000 VND.
At the ceremony, Ms. Dao Hong Lan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Health called on cadres, civil servants, and public employees working in the health sector to support people affected by storm No. 10. Ms. Dao Hong Lan said that in recent days, storm No. 10 (Bualoi) with its fierce devastation has caused heavy damage; causing dozens of deaths and missing people, hundreds of injuries; hundreds of thousands of houses were damaged, roofs were blown off; tens of thousands of hectares of rice, crops, and seafood were destroyed; many infrastructure works, schools, medical stations, and hospitals were seriously affected. The total damage is estimated at tens of thousands of billions of VND.

Ms. Dao Hong Lan said that with the tradition of solidarity, "mutual love", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of our nation, responding to the call of General Secretary To Lam and Comrade Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Ministry of Health officially launched the movement of CBCCVCLD in the health sector to join hands to support people in provinces affected by storm No. 10. The general strive level is: cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, people receiving salaries from the state budget, each person should contribute at least one day's salary or more; workers with an average living standard or more save on spending and support of VND 50,000 or more. All contributions should be sent to the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee.
"On behalf of the Ministry of Health's leadership, I strongly call on all employees and workers in the health sector with a heart of compassion, social responsibility and deep sharing, to join hands to contribute to support people in flood-affected areas affected by storm No. 10. Every contribution, no matter how small or large, has great significance, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, restore production, work with peace of mind and study. This is also a practical action, demonstrating the spirit of humanity, social responsibility and noble qualities of health sector officials", Ms. Dao Hong Lan called for.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, employees of the Ministry of Health's agencies and the Vietnam Health Trade Union supported people affected by storms and floods.

Consecutive storms No. 8, 9, 10 and floods caused by the storm have killed 19 people and many people are missing. Many houses and production and business establishments had their roofs blown off and suffered heavy damage. People across the northern and central mountainous provinces are struggling to cope with floods and heavy losses in human lives and property due to floods and thunderstorms.
