On May 7, the Department of Home Affairs coordinated with the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor to organize the launching ceremony of the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (ATVSLD) and Workers' Month 2025.
This year's Road Safety and Health Action Month takes place from 1.5 to 31.5. With the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace", the Month of Action on occupational safety and health will be held with many response activities.
At the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Liet - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee - acknowledged and praised the efforts of departments, branches, sectors, unions and local authorities in ensuring occupational safety and hygiene and caring for the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
Commending enterprises and production and business units that have complied with legal regulations on ensuring occupational safety and hygiene in the past time and thanking the leaders of enterprises for their attention and care for workers in many aspects.
"I request that relevant departments, branches, sectors, unions and localities increase their responsibility and implement solutions to completely overcome limitations, not to let go of negligence, lack of attention and lack of responsibility leading to unfortunate consequences affecting the health and lives of workers", Mr. Liet emphasized.

At the launching ceremony, 200 gifts were also presented to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
According to the plan to organize Workers' Month of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor, trade unions at all levels in the province focus on implementing the following activities: Program "Creative workers, firmly entering the new era"; program "Dialogue in May" and forum "Party with workers - Workers with the Party"; program "Thank you to workers"; organize the Peak Month for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, introducing and developing workers' party members; program "Propaganda, raising awareness of union members and workers"...
