The contest jointly organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor and Kien Giang Provincial Radio and Television Station attracted the attention and participation of the contestants.
Mr. Pham Van Dang - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest - said: this activity has practical significance, affirming and honoring the beauty, talent and charm of Vietnamese women in general and female civil servants, public employees and workers in Kien Giang province in particular.
"This is also a useful and healthy playground, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to improve the spiritual life of female civil servants, public employees, and workers; an opportunity for them to exchange, learn, and share experiences in work and social life; creating opportunities for women to express their understanding, talent, dynamism, creativity, confidence, charm, and brilliance," Mr. Dang emphasized.
Mr. Dang also informed that through the launching period in agencies, units and enterprises with trade unions in the province, there were 66 contestants from grassroots trade unions under the Labor Federations of districts, cities, industry trade unions, grassroots trade unions under the Provincial Labor Federation and the Trade Union of the Industrial and Commercial Bank, Kien Giang Branch, and the Trade Union of Kien Giang University attending. The Organizing Committee selected the top 30 contestants to participate in the final round taking place at the Kien Giang Provincial Cultural and Arts Center.
The contestants will compete in office and talent costumes, ao dai and evening gown. At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee will award 4 main prizes and 4 secondary prizes. In which, the Miss will be honored to receive a crown worth 1.8 billion VND.
It is known that the crown with the creative idea of the designer is for female civil servants, public employees, and workers in Kien Giang province. National jewelry artisans have enthusiastically created a crown called " Sen bien" for the female owner worthy of Good at public affairs - Good at housework, beautiful to shine in Heart - Talent - Germany.
In particular, the crown is made from whole Italian silk, white gold, with nearly 1,000 artificial diamonds and 62 pearls planted in the Phu Quoc sea area. 6 skilled professional experts have crafted the crown for more than 3 months.
The crown was also inspected and granted an appraisal certificate at the Institute of Science and Technology in Hanoi.
