On the evening of January 21, the Rach Gia City Labor Federation (Kien Giang) organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of Thanks to the Party".
Ms. Tran Thi Thu - President of Rach Gia City Labor Federation - said: The program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang" for union members and workers facing difficulties in the area, this year awarded 349 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND). Unions throughout the city have organized many practical emulation movements, actively enhanced the work of caring for the lives, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the program, the Chairman of the City Labor Federation also informed about the outstanding results of the Union's activities in 2024. From the beginning of the year, plans were developed and many activities were implemented to care for and protect the interests of union members and workers.
Every year, mobilize employees to maintain and improve the effectiveness of social activities, effectively use loan capital, contribute to funds launched by the locality and social activities such as: visiting sick people, supporting difficulties for more than 1,000 cases. The grassroots unions also mobilize employees' own contributions in the spirit of volunteering to support serious illnesses and difficult circumstances for 343 cases. The revolving capital contribution without interest has nearly 5,000 participants with a circulating capital of over 2.5 billion VND.
Constructing 4 new houses, repairing 4 Union Shelter houses for union members and employees in difficult circumstances. Implementing well the signing with 4 enterprises on the welfare program for union members, reducing from 5% to 30% when union members and employees participate in programs with companies and enterprises...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Linh - Vice Chairman of Rach Gia City People's Committee - said: This is the 6th year the city has organized Tet Sum Vay for workers. The program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" demonstrates profound humanity and practical meaning. With small gifts showing the concern of the Trade Union, enterprises, and heads of agencies, we hope that workers in difficult circumstances will have joy during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested: "The City Labor Federation needs to continue to maintain and promote the effectiveness of the Tet Sum Vay program, better mobilize the participation of the community in the spirit of socialization. Business owners need to pay more attention to workers, from improving their skills to taking care of their lives, ... to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the enterprise".
At the end of the program, all union members and workers had a happy Tet meal together.
Ms. Tran Thi Bich Phuong - Union member of Bao Long Kien Giang Insurance Company - said: "My family is currently renting a room, our economic conditions are difficult and we are raising a child under 6 years old. Today, receiving the Tet gift from the Union, I am very happy to receive the attention, encouragement and support. Union members and employees have a family meal together, although we do not know each other, everyone is happy, asks about each other, and encourages each other to try harder."
