On May 5, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union organized the launch of Workers' Month 2026 and the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health 2026.
In Workers' Month 2026 (taking place from May 1st to July 31st, 2026), Vietnam Rubber Trade Union levels will organize the program "May Dialogue" and the forum "Trade Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Union in the new era", the program "Thank you workers" and care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, the "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" festival program, the peak month to promote the innovation movement, digital initiatives, and improve labor productivity...
Some targets are set to strive for 80% or more of grassroots trade unions to implement at least one activity in response to Workers' Month; strive for 10% of union members and workers to propose initiatives, technical improvements or solutions to improve labor productivity, of which at least 30% will be applied to production and business practices at agencies and units.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Cam Hong - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union - requested the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union at all levels and units to continue to pay attention to caring for the lives of workers in a practical and effective way, focusing on core issues such as employment, income, working conditions and daily life, so that workers can truly feel secure and attached to their units.
Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen dialogue at the workplace, promptly listen to and resolve legitimate opinions and recommendations of employees, thereby building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises. At the same time, it is necessary to continue to promote the emulation movement for good labor, creative labor, encourage employees to promote initiatives, technical improvements, contributing to improving productivity, quality and production efficiency...

On this occasion, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union supported the construction of 100 new Trade Union Shelters and repaired 50 other houses with a total estimated cost of 6 billion VND. At the same time, it supported 1 billion VND to support units to implement the "Trade Union Light" program and grassroots cultural institutions.
The Vietnam Rubber Trade Union also visited and presented gifts (worth 4 million VND/gift) to 70 workers who suffered labor accidents and 300 workers in difficult circumstances at units supported with 1 million VND/person.
