Speaking at the opening of the program, Mr. Vu Duc Khien - Deputy Director of Social Insurance of Region XIII affirmed that in recent times, Social Insurance of Region XIII has achieved positive results in implementing social insurance and health insurance policies in the locality. As of now, the city has 1,062,071 social insurance participants, reaching over 54% of the workingforce of all ages. The number of people participating in voluntary social insurance is 100,775 people, an increase of over 15,000 people over the same period last year.
The number of people participating in health insurance reached over 3.7 million people, an increase of over 58,000 people over the same period. In 2024, thousands of billions of VND were paid to over 5 million people for health insurance examination and treatment, including many cases that were paid billions of VND by the health insurance fund.
