Adobe has just released a beta update for photos with a series of new tools, which promises to "eliminate cumbersome editing steps, reduce operational conflicts and make accurate editing faster and more intuitive".
One of the outstanding features is Generative Upscale, now available on both the desktop and web versions. This tool allows upgrading image quality to 8 megapixel without reducing brightness, especially useful when printing photos or improving old files. Adobe said it is one of the most recommended requests for users.
Next is the Remove tool that is upgraded thanks to the new Creative Firefly image model. Not only does Remove help remove excess objects or people from photos, it also creates a more realistic image, limiting the phenomenon of leaving a blurred spot or "ghost object" after deleted. This feature is also in beta for both desktop and web.
Adobe has also introduced Projects - a new feature it is testing, allowing management of all files and versions in a unified workspace. Users can share the entire project in just one step, instead of sending each individual version as before.
