On the evening of July 30, U23 Vietnam officially returned home after winning the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship. At Tan Son Nhat airport (HCMC), many reporters and fans were present early to welcome coach Kim Sang-sik and the players.
In an interview at Tan Son Nhat airport, coach Kim Sang-sik expressed his joy at receiving a warm welcome.
He said: "I am very happy to return to Vietnam and was warmly welcomed by fans. I am proud of the players. The whole team has shown their best to bring home the championship".

According to coach Kim Sang-sik, U23 Vietnam will be carefully analyzed by opponents. Therefore, he will prepare a plan for this issue: "I think that after this tournament, the opponents of U23 Vietnam will prioritize analyzing us about the way we play as well as the people.
Therefore, the coaching staff and I will always analyze opponents such as U23 Thailand or U23 Indonesia. We will work with the Vietnam Football Federation to find optimal solutions for the upcoming journey."
Coach Kim Sang-sik gave the players many compliments. He also pointed out the two biggest goals of U23 Vietnam in the coming time.
"Through this tournament, I think the players have gained more valuable experience to continue developing their careers, as well as aiming to achieve better results in the upcoming two U23 level tournaments, the Asian qualifiers and the SEA Games.
I want to affirm that all U23 players are talented and good quality players.
Tactically, I am trying to unify a system to have more players who are more integrated in the upcoming training sessions.
The door to U23 Vietnam is always open for advanced players, showing progress", coach Kim Sang-sik added.
