India leads the world in AI personnel recruitment growth

India recorded a growth rate of artificial intelligence human resource recruitment of nearly 60%, the highest in the world, according to the latest report from LinkedIn.

India is emerging as the fastest growing artificial intelligence (AI) human resource recruitment market in the world, with growth of up to 59.5% in the past year. This information was announced in LinkedIn's AI Labor Market 2026 report (a social networking platform specializing in jobs and career connections, owned by Microsoft).

According to reports, the number of AI engineer recruitment news in India has increased sharply compared to the previous year, making this country a hotspot for high-tech human resource demand. This is considered a direct consequence of the wave of AI applications spreading in many economic sectors, from manufacturing, finance to services.

For many years, Bengaluru has been considered the "Silicon Valley" of India and the largest AI recruitment center. However, the current trend shows a clear shift as human resource demand is no longer concentrated in a few major cities.

Cities such as Hyderabad recorded AI recruitment growth of about 51%, while Vijayawada reached 45.5%.

This spread reflects the deep digital transformation process of businesses nationwide.

Large corporations are still the main recruitment force, thanks to their ability to invest heavily in technology infrastructure and deploy AI on a large scale.

However, small and medium-sized enterprises are also quickly catching up with the trend, playing an important role in bringing AI from the testing phase to practical application.

Another notable point is the diversification of AI human resource demand between industries. In the manufacturing sector, the proportion of AI engineers has quadrupled, reaching about 2% of the labor force by 2025.

This shows that AI is no longer a separate technology of the information technology industry, but is deeply penetrating traditional fields.

According to Mr. Malai Lakshmanan, technical leader at LinkedIn in India, applied AI skills such as AI assistants, productivity enhancement tools and automation systems are in high demand. Engineers who are capable of transitioning from research to practical implementation will have a great advantage in the labor market.

In addition, skills such as developing AI Agents, using platforms such as Azure AI Studio or feature automation techniques are becoming a popular requirement, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises.

In addition, AI prompting skills (the ability to write and optimize'prompt' commands) and build systems based on agents are also increasingly important.

LinkedIn's report recommends that workers who want to enter the AI field should focus on practical skills and application capabilities.

Proving capacity through specific projects will be a key factor in helping them compete in an increasingly fierce market.

In general, the AI recruitment boom is reflecting a structural shift in the Indian economy.

As this technology continues to spread, the labor market will become increasingly fragmented and competitive, opening up many opportunities but also posing many challenges for workers.
