Apple is developing the next generation of Vision Pro virtual reality glasses, expected to equip a more powerful M5 chip and add a new strap called Dual Knit Band to bring a more comfortable feeling to users.
According to the discovered internal code, Dual K Bandnit is an accessory that has never appeared before. Currently, Vision Pro only has two types of wearables: Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band.
Based on the name, the new type of wire could be a combination of two existing models, keeping the solo Knit Band expansion fabric but with a better supporting two- strap structure.
Previously, in July, a leaked source also revealed that Apple was researching a new strap that would allow users to wear the device for longer, and this information now seems to have been verified.
Vision Pro currently weighs about 600 - 650 grams, causing significant pressure on the head if used for a long time. Many people think that the solo Knit Band design has not been properly distributed in weight, while the Dual Loop Band is less smooth due to the lack of the characteristic weaving fabric.
Apple is expected to launch the Vision Pro upgrade in late 2025 with a faster M5 chip, but there are not many other changes to the hardware. The selling price is still expected to remain at 3,499 USD.
