Apple promotes AI development on home appliances

QUANG MINH |

Apple is still working hard to find a foothold in the field of artificial intelligence and seems to be shifting its AI strategy to smart home appliances.

The most prominent of the new series of products is rumored to be an AI companion in the form of a desktop, looking like an iPad mounted on a robotic arm that can rotate flexibly so that the screen always faces the user when they are moving in the home or office.

The current model is said to use a 7-inch level screen, mounted on a motorbike handle that can move about 15 cm in any direction. The device will be integrated with a completely new Siri version, capable of remembering information, making suggestions and chats. Apple is expected to launch this product in 2027.

The company is also said to be developing a simpler, hands-free smart family hub, with a plan to launch in 2026. This device will control music playback, notes, web browsing, and online meetings.

The idea of a family hub has been around Apple since 2022, while rumors of a personal robot have been on the rise since last spring. Despite the more detailed information this time, experts warn that there is still a possibility that Apple will change direction or cancel the project at any time.
