For Apple, this has become the first company to have a brand valued at more than 1 trillion USD and this is also the third consecutive year that the Apple brand has topped the rankings.
Google ranked second with a value of 944.1 billion USD, up 25% year-on-year, followed by Microsoft (884.8 billion USD, up 24% year-on-year). Amazon (866.1 billion USD) and Nvidia (509.4 billion USD) are the remaining units in the top 5 most valuable brands globally. Thanks to the growing popularity of AI (artificial intelligence), Nvidia, a company with GPU chips used as AI accelerators, has seen its brand value increase by 152% year-on-year.
In AI, ChatGPT debuted in 60th place with a brand valuation of $43.5 billion, becoming the newest company to be ranked highest on the list since Nvidia first appeared in 2021.
Instagram and TikTok have strong growth in brand valuation this year with annual growth of 101% and 25%, respectively. Both are typical examples of strong growth and continuous influence of social media companies.
Some of the technology companies with high brand value are Qualcomm's Snapdragon chip brand, ranked 38th (65.6 billion USD) and China's Huawei, ranked 39th (64.7 billion USD). Meanwhile, Samsung, Apple's main smartphone rival and the world's largest appliance brand, is valued at just $29.3 billion, ranking 78th on Kantar's rankings.
The world's largest wireless network operator, China Mobile, is the 62nd most valuable brand in the world with a brand value of nearly 42 billion USD. T-Mobile has a brand value of 105.7 billion USD, ranked 19th... Another famous brand, Xiaomi, is valued at 21.9 billion USD, ranked 97th in the world.
