It is known that Apple is introducing a toolkit for corporate customers, allowing management of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the working environment. While the initial focus is on ChatGPT for Enterprise, these tools will not be limited to one single service.
Currently, AI is becoming more and more popular in modern computing, while expanding its role in work activities. The appearance of the business version of ChatGPT is expected to bring many opportunities but also poses challenges in controlling and securing information.
Accordingly, "tao Household" will provide IT (IT) administrators with more detailed control over employees' access to AI services. Businesses can customize the permission or blocking of ChatGPT for Enterprise, even specifically manage which features are enabled or turned off.
Notably, the system is also capable of preventing employees' AI requests from being sent to ChatGPT's cloud server, even if the company does not register for the service directly from OpenAI. This helps limit the risk of employees accidentally sharing internal data or intellectual property outside.
Although mentioning ChatGPT, Apple insists that this management tool can be applied to all outside AI services, including Anthropic or Google. This shows that Apple is preparing for a future where businesses want to make more flexible choices between many different AI providers.
The "tech giant" also has a public deal with OpenAI to deeply integrate ChatGPT on the iPhone. However, the arrival of this management toolkit also means that Apple wants to ensure that corporate customers have more control over the AI services they use.
Meanwhile, the Apple Intelligence system is built on the Private Cloud Compute platform to protect user data. However, Apple cannot guarantee the same level of safety for third-party AI services. The new management toolkit is therefore seen as a solution to help businesses control and protect information better when employees use outside AI services.
