Market research company Counterpoint Research has announced a list of 10 best-selling smartphones globally. Apple's iPhone 16 is still the world's best-selling smartphone for the second consecutive quarter. In second and third place are the iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro, respectively.
Apple's flagship product is popular for its sophisticated design with aluminum and titanium edges, with a powerful configuration thanks to the A18 Pro chip, in addition to large RAM, a diverse, intuitive software ecosystem.
In the top 10, Apple also has iPhone 16e in 5th place, thanks to strong sales in Japan and the US. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 is ranked 10th. This is still one of Apple's best-selling iPhone models for nearly 2 years.
Samsung takes four positions in the list of 10 best-selling smartphones. Samsung Galaxy A16 5G in the mid-range segment was Samsung's best-selling product in the second quarter of this year, when it ranked 4th, behind 3 Apple iPhone lines. Next is the Galaxy A04 4G series.
Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra continues to work well thanks to a strong marketing campaign around GenAI's features and an increasing focus on Samsung's flagship product line.
Redmi 14C 4G is Xiaomi's only smartphone on the list. This phone still maintains its position in developing regions such as Latin America and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
