On the afternoon of September 12, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (C06, Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam Television (VTV) to organize the Launching Ceremony of the Data for Life 2025 international contest dossier round with the theme "Hack for Growth 2025" to serve the construction of a digital government, digital society and digital economy.
The Data for Life international technology solution search contest over the past 2 seasons has proven the reach, uniqueness, and appeal of a pioneering competition in technology and data. It is more special when expanding the international scope with the participation of foreign competitors from Australia and Singapore and many entries from international competitors and the world's leading technology experts.
This year's contest continues to connect with the research community, businesses and international organizations, encouraging the development of solutions to address practical issues in areas that need innovation and improvement for social development.
Hack for Growth 2025 is a large-scale science and technology playground, attracting resources and participation of intellectuals, young intellectuals, student communities, researchers, and experts, so that these components are closely linked, applying technology and digital solutions to serve people's lives, social management and national development.
This is also the foundation for forming a strong innovation movement, linking intellectual capacity and technological achievements into practice, creating leverage to promote the digital economy, digital government and digital society nationwide.
Launching the contest orientation direction, Major General Vu Van Tan emphasized that the third season of the contest is an opportunity for the Steering Committee of Resolution 57 to have a more multidimensional view, affirming the significance of data and the role of young people.
The most special thing is to affirm the value of data: Not data kept in warehouses, not just for sharing, but data must contribute to the development of the data economy and create value for society - Major General Vu Van Tan clearly stated.
According to Major General Vu Van Tan, the pride of the competition is when the product is evaluated by businesses and state agencies, selected for use and application in life. That is the most valuable and sustainable reward.
I hope that from this contest, the spirit of spreading will continue to expand, creating inspiration, calling for many ideas and teams to participate, including from international markets. The competition with the foreign team will help us affirm the position, ability and intelligence of Vietnam" - Major General Vu Van Tan added.
