Apple is developing a camera integration feature for future Apple Watch models to turn the device into an AI-powered wearable device, according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman in a recent report.
Gurman said that Apple is considering adding cameras to both the standard Apple Watch and the high-end Ultra version, with plans to launch in 2027.
This move will allow Apple Watch to support AI features such as Smart Intelligence, providing immediate information about what users are aiming for with their camera.
Gurman previously revealed that Apple is also developing the AirPods line that integrates cameras with the same goal, and according to him, this product is also expected to launch at the same time as the Apple Watch with cameras.
The location of the camera may vary depending on the device line. Accordingly, the Apple Watch Series can be integrated with a camera right in the screen, while the Ultra version is expected to have a camera next to the device.
