The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision No. 596/QD-BCT on issuing the 2026 plan to implement the assigned tasks in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
The goal of Decision 596 is to accelerate the implementation of the tasks of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, ensuring that science, technology, innovation and digital transformation make practical and measurable contributions to the growth goals of the Industry and Trade sector. Creating clear changes in inter-connected digital transformation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, synchronous and connected throughout the political system and digital transformation in the entire sector, focusing on key areas of the Industry and Trade sector.
Along with that, promoting the development of science, technology and innovation in the direction of closely linking research - application - market; promoting the effectiveness of state - school - business cooperation; promoting the commercialization of research results, forming and developing technology businesses, innovative startups in the direction of having products, having results, and having the ability to replicate.
Strongly mobilize social resources; agencies and units in the Ministry proactively review and continue to propose removing barriers and difficulties in the development of science, technology and innovation; identify priority industries and fields, focus on improving technological level, promoting technology transfer, especially for manufacturing, processing, and manufacturing industries, thereby forming new growth momentum on the foundation of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
The purpose of the Resolution is to thoroughly grasp the viewpoints, orientations, goals, tasks, and solutions for implementation in 2026 with the action motto being: "Progressive action, spreading results", with the decisive factor being the ability to organize implementation, action discipline and actual output results, shifting from the way of doing according to plan to the way of doing according to goals and products; from progress reporting to effective reporting, from "having done" to "doing it thoroughly".
Along with that, fully and clearly concretize the assigned goals, tasks and solutions in accordance with the conditions, characteristics, functions, tasks, and powers of the Ministry of Industry and Trade assigning focal points, and at the same time assign focal units to preside over and coordinate implementation to ensure "06 clear" (clear people, clear tasks, clear time, clear responsibilities, clear products, clear authority) and organize drastic implementation, determined to successfully implement assigned tasks.
