This event aims to join hands to promote innovation activities (KHDT), create a culture of KHDT in the whole society, raise awareness of the role of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation (KHCN, KHDT and CDS) in society...
This is also an opportunity to promote the development of the national e-commerce system, strengthen connectivity between the business - state - institute/school - startup - investor - community sector with the role of digital platforms connecting technology supply - demand, experts - ideas.
The theme in response to the World Innovation and Innovation Day 2025 is: "Innovation - Think differently, Do differently to improve"; "Innovation - Pioneering Business - Prosperous National"; "Innovation for the whole people - Comprehensive digital transformation - For a better life".
At the ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung shared that April 21 is both the Global Innovation and Creativity Day and Vietnam Enrollment Day.

"Vietnam not only develops science and technology, but also nurtures a culture of national security and equality. arouse the spirit of creativity of the entire population in the digital age, expand the DMST beyond the pilot program to businesses, schools, offices, communities and localities.
Every year, up to this occasion, we will organize a DMST week, launching a movement "Each citizen has a cai tien y tuong, each civil servant innovates from the smallest things".

Within the framework of the Ceremony, stories about innovation from business representatives were shared. According to the Organizing Committee, agencies and units will launch a series of tasks and activities that need to be implemented in the coming time to strongly promote e-commerce in all agencies, organizations and people.
April 21 is chosen by the United Nations (UN) as The World Creativity and Innovation Day to raise awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in socio-economic development, building a sustainable society and promoting the development of all aspects of humanity.
