Apple CEO Tim Cook has posted a metaphorical video on social media, with a short caption: "This week".
In the video, the words "There's something in the air" appear on the screen, before being cut across by a super thin line. Strong suggestions for a new device, possibly the MacBook Air M4.
It is not yet clear exactly when Apple will announce the product this week. According to Mark Gurman (Bloomberg), the MacBook Air M4 is expected to have two 13-inch and 15-inch versions. This makes sense as Apple launched the MacBook Air M3 in March last year, showing an annual upgrade cycle.
As for the M4 chip, Apple first added it to the iPad Pro, before appearing on the iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro last October. Therefore, it is no surprise that MacBook Air is equipped with this processor.
Does the slogan "There's something in the air" refer to a new version of iPad Air? This is unlikely, as the iPad Air line was redesigned in May last year. However, the standard iPad model is in the upgrade phase, so it is not ruled out that Apple will introduce a new product in addition to the MacBook Air.
