On the morning of November 11, at the 4th Session (Special Session), the People's Council of Da Nang City, term X, 2021-2026, approved the City People's Council's Submission No. 142/TTr-UBND dated October 24, 2025 of the City People's Committee on the involvement in the Calculative Infrastructure Investment Project to serve the research and development of semiconductor and artificial intelligence microchip design.

The project is invested and managed by the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Civil, Industrial and Infrastructure Works of Da Nang, with a total estimated investment of more than 200 billion VND from the city budget. Group B project, implemented in the 2025-2028 period, located at Software Park No. 2, Hai Chau ward.
According to the City People's Committee, investing in a high-performance computing system (HPC) is an urgent requirement in the context of Da Nang's orientation to become a center for innovation and high technology in the Central region.
HPC system helps simulate and verify chip designs with billions of transistor, reducing testing costs. Training large language models (LLM) using Vietnamese data, serving digital government, healthcare, education, and ensuring data security.
Providing general infrastructure for startups and technology enterprises, supporting R&D activities, creating an environment to attract talent. Solving major problems in urban management, socio-economic forecasting, biomedical, and natural disaster prevention.
The project includes a high-performance server cluster, a large capacity data storage system, high-speed network equipment, coordination software, resource management, simulation platform - training of artificial intelligence and microchip design.
After completion, the Da Nang Center for research and training in microchip design and artificial intelligence will be assigned to operate and exploit to serve agencies, institutes, schools and businesses in the area.
