On the morning of August 20, the Horecfex 2026 Forum with the theme "Everything you need - Knowledge, Technology, Supply and Connection" officially opened in Da Nang.
Mr. Ho Quang Buu - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee emphasized that technology is one of the key driving forces to transform the tourism and service advantages of the locality into real competitiveness.
According to leaders of Da Nang City, the city is entering a new development phase with the orientation of promoting science and technology, digital economy and modern management. Therefore, advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, automation and green solutions need to be put into practice soon for management and operation of hotels, restaurants, and resorts to enhance the tourist experience.
Da Nang is committed to continuing to create a favorable environment for businesses to research and apply new technologies; complete digital infrastructure and data infrastructure. The city expects Horecfex to become a regular connection platform between the government, tourism businesses, technology businesses and investors," Mr. Ho Quang Buu affirmed.
Assessing the trend of digital transformation in the industry, Dr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism said that the tourism industry is entering a new stage of development, taking the tourist experience as the center. For the HORECA business sector (Hotel - Restaurant - Service Management), technology is no longer a supporting tool behind but has become a direct factor determining service quality.
The forum takes place in two days, August 20 and 21, Horecfex 2026 gathers nearly 100 booths to display modern technology products and solutions such as robots, smart glasses, virtual reality, Projection Mapping, Laser Mapping... In addition, the event also features more than 40 panel discussions and in-depth dialogues on artificial intelligence, human resources, MICE tourism, F&B and sustainable development.
